DESCRIPTION:Annie Hunter \nIn Integrated Multi-Cultural Weekend \nBeloved\, \nI ‘ve been honored to help serve our Cursillo community for 24 years\, watching as God brings the Holy Spirit and changes Pilgrims lives. Now\, we are close to accomplishing one of our greatest achievements – reaching the milestone of 150 Cursillo weekends in the Diocese of Southwest Florida. Together\, we have worked to serve God through the Cursillo movement while bringing greater glory to God. I look forward to serving as Rector for this momentous weekend. \nIn 2008\, I attended Cursillo weekend 114 in the Diocese of Southwest Florida and sat at the table of St. Ann. I worship at St. John Divine in Sun City Center. I arrived at DaySpring with many unresolved issues and left with God at my side. I gave everything to him! Today I am forever changed – grace\, joy\, patience\, laughter and love now fill my life as God continues to “Lead me where he needs me”. \nBanner\, Cursillo #150\, SW Florida \nThe theme for weekend is Jesus Messiah “The Light of the World”. The dates are September 12 – 15. Team meetings are  scheduled for St. John the Divine Episcopal Church\, Sun Center\, FL 33573. \nGod’s weekend is still a work in progress\, but we need all of you to make Cursillo 150 successful. If it’s been a while since you’ve served on a Cursillo weekend\, please prayerfully consider joining us on Team 150 to watch in awe at God’s work. He will certainly “lead them where he needs them to be”. And speaking of “God will lead you where he needs you”\, we’ve attached applications – we really need our communities support to celebrate this milestone. I worship at Holy Innocents’ in Valrico.  I am looking forward to serving as the next Rectora for Weekend #149\, Come to the Table\, February 29 – March 3rd at DaySpring. \nI have been a part of this diocese for over twenty-five years\, called to serve in youth and children’s ministries (diocesan and parish)\, Cursillo\, parish leadership and as a clergy spouse. The theme for the weekend is Come to the Table with the verse\, “For where two or three are gathered in my name\, there am I among them.”  Matthew 18:20(ESV) When I was praying about the theme for this weekend\, I heard the Lord speak to my heart\, gather my people at my table. James 4:8a says\, “Draw near to God\, and he will draw near to you.” \nAs I sat in prayer\, I was reminded of the years of ministry around our dining room table and fellowship with family and friends both old and new. Many of these conversations were about Jesus and I could see the parallel to the Lord’s Table and as we gathered not just on Sundays\, but in the mission field\, at shut-ins’ homes and at the bedsides in hospitals. The sizes of those groups varied; however\, Jesus was present in all of them. Then one Sunday before service I was looking at the index in Wonder Love and Praise and found Hymn 763\, “As we Gather at Your Table”\, as I read the words\, they were a reminder to prepare our hearts and a call to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. \nI encourage you to join me in prayer and discernment for the Cursillo movement in our diocese and for weekend #149. This is a time of great excitement as we rebuild this ministry of support\, and renewal for leadership. DESCRIPTION:Mason Ayres \nDear Fellow Cursillistas\, \nI’m thrilled that God has called me to be the Rector of Cursillo #147. My family and I worship at Church of the Redeemer in Sarasota. Cursillo has played an important role in shaping my faith and strengthening my relationship with Jesus Christ. I made my Cursillo in 2011 on Cursillo #122 in the Diocese of Southwest Florida. What an incredible weekend! Since then\, I have been blessed to serve God on several Cursillo Teams. For me\, every Cursillo weekend is a powerful one. I’m always amazed at God’s transforming love that He pours out onto the Pilgrims each weekend.  Many\, myself included\, leave Cursillo on Sunday afternoon changed forever. \nPlease prayerfully consider joining me on Cursillo #147 (February 16 -19 2023). The weekend theme is “Walk On Water” based on Matthew 14: 22-33. I have always loved the image of Peter jumping out of the boat and walking on the water towards Jesus. Peter is completely focused on Jesus after he hears Jesus say “Yes\, come”.  Throughout our lives we face a similar choice\, let doubt and fear keep us rooted in “what might have been” or “take courage!” and live wholeheartedly a life centered on our Lord Jesus Christ. To me\, the Cursillo ministry is all about God equipping each of us to answer His call to “come”. All of us can courageously get out of our own boat and begin our personal walk on the water towards Jesus. All we have to do is keep our eyes fixed on Him and walk on faith not sight. Go ahead and take that first step and let God do the rest. \nI’m looking forward to see how God’s hand will shape the Cursillo #147 Pilgrims and Team.
